Using up-cycled denim, the Converse Renew Denim Chuck Taylor 70 serves as the first example of Converse’s capacity to reimagine used textiles, which are diverted from landfills, into new Converse silhouettes.

Individual pairs of jeans are separated into three washes — light, medium and dark — and butterfly cut to create the Chuck 70 shoe panels.

The Converse Renew Denim Chuck Taylor 70 is made with denim jeans sourced by us. The fully up-cycled collection is the first of its kind at industrial scale, saving tens of thousands pairs of jeans from landfill. Each one-of-a-kind pair of sneakers is cut from a unique pair of jeans hand-picked by @BeyondRetro.

Together, we’ve transformed an iconic sneaker using equally iconic and sustainable materials.
