To help create a low carbon, high tech transport network in London, the Mayor’s Biodiesel Programme is working with the fuel industry and local authorities to inspire a biodiesel industry revolution in London. The Mayor wants to grow London’s biodiesel infrastructure so it can produce biodiesel made from London the South East’s Used Cooking Oil (UCO) and Fats, Oils and Greases (FOGs), right in the city. Growing London’s biodiesel industry to fuel buses and municipal fleets can deliver green jobs, provide a local renewable fuel supply and reduce carbon dioxide.
