Rani Plast, a leading plastic packaging manufacturer, has implemented a waste-to-energy approach that recovers and reuses waste heat and gas for energy. This case study highlights the problem of waste management in the plastics industry and how Rani Plast's solution of utilizing waste heat and gas for energy is contributing to a more sustainable future.
The plastics industry has been facing increasing pressure to improve its environmental sustainability due to the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment. In particular, the production of plastic packaging generates a significant amount of waste heat and gas that is often released into the environment, contributing to pollution and global warming.
Rani Plast has developed cost-efficient and protective packaging solutions for wrapping waste destined for energy generation. Developed in cooperation with the “Waste-to-Energy” sector’s machine manufacturers, RaniBond, a bale stretch film for efficient waste wrapping is secure, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.
The recycled raw material used to produce RaniBond originates from a closed-loop recycling process, where used waste bale wrap becomes new waste bale wrap.
Their waste packaging films ensure that waste bales are leak-proof, durable and easy to transport and handle throughout the logistics chain.
