Pact for the Circular Economy in Ecuador

In order to implement practices of efficient resource use, reduction, reuse, recycling, and industrialization of waste elements involved in production processes, the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries (MPCEIP), the Vice President of the Republic, the Governing Council of the Special Regime for Galapagos and the Ministry of Environment, promoted the signing of the Pact for the Circular Economy with 161 adherents from the industrial and academic sectors, under the framework of the National Agreement. The aim is to increase recycling and the amount of material reinserted into production chains (industrialisation) for future years.
