This law establishes the regulation on the management and control of plastic bag. The establishes procedures for the management and control of the plastic bag, with regard to its production, import, sale and use in order to reduce negative impacts on human health and the environment in general and applies to all public and private entities, natural and legal persons involved in the production, import, sale and use of plastic bags in the country. It places a prohibition on the production of plastic bags with a thickness less than 30 micrometres.
