definition

To what extent the organisation engages with other stakeholders throughout its value chain but also policymakers and investors to address circular economy-related issues. This indicator can be broken down into the main different stakeholders: Suppliers, Customers, Policymakers, Investors and Financiers, CE initiatives/Networks. Levels of engagement can be broken down into the following: material sourcing contracts, communicating about circular economy benefits and opportunities, informing policy makers, programme for circular economy financing (e.g. circularity-linked loans).

Company managers can conduct qualitative self-assessments to assess how their company involves other stakeholders in considering circularity matters in their operations and interactions
