Companies can describe the environmental criteria in place used to select suppliers. Supplier environmental criteria integration is a method of selecting/sourcing key suppliers on a pre-established set environmental criteria. Criteria may include both quantitative or qualitative environmental criteria. Environmental aspects considered may include some or all of the following aspects (not limited to): material selection, design for process, disassembly, recycling & reuse, packaging; environmental management system and other aspects such as climate change, emissions, air emissions, water, waste, energy consumption, recycle rate, re-use rate etc.
