RecyclePoints collects recyclables directly from consumers. This adds value in the recycling process as it reduces the cost of washing and assures better quality material free from contaminants. The company processes the collected recyclables and sells them to manufacturing and recycling plants as raw materials. RecyclePoints has launched four recycling initiatives which are targeted at households, schools, and businesses.

This case study has been created as part of Footprints Africa's work to build a comprehensive open-source database of circular economy initiatives in Africa. We are doing this in collaboration with the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN), as part of our programme to support the circular economy transition in Africa.
