The report (1) identifies materials flows, environmental impact, and energy consumption for the building sector + layout a roadmap for 2030 to make the sector more circular and sustainable, and (2) aims to paint a first picture of the starting situation for residential and commercial construction.


The focus is on three pillars: optimal material use at all stages of the construction cycle, as much use as possible of inexhaustible sources with more high-quality reuse, and the efficient use of finite sources.
