Morocco’s Noor Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant, located in the southern city of Ouarzazate, is one of the largest solar complexes in the world and has the size of around 3,500 soccer fields, an area almost equivalent to that of San Francisco. Morocco aims to become an exporter of power supplies to Europe, as well as to elsewhere on the African continent and the wider Arab-speaking world. The government plans to generate 52% of its energy from renewables by 2030.
