Introducing the Zero Mika Law in Morocco

In 2016, the Moroccan Parliament made the next step towards reducing plastic consumption by passing a landmark bill to ban the production, import, sale, and distribution of all plastic bags across the country. Nevertheless, according to the Heinrich Böll foundation, bags have progressively reappeared on markets and in small shops, which represent 80% of retail outlets in Morocco.
