CICERONE, an organisation working to bring countries, regions and cities committed to research on the circular economy together, has launched a report: Strategic research and innovation agenda (SRIA) on circular economy. The report will aid owners and funders of circularity-focussed programmes in Europe in taking on a systemic approach for their circular transition founded on research and innovation. The report outlines four priority areas that face sustainability challenges: urban areas, industrial systems, value chains and territory and sea. It identifies areas for improvement across the EU to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
