Climatex, a company that produces regenerative, sustainable textiles, develops all its products to follow the Cradle-to-Cradle principle. The brand uses nature as a role model, turning waste into a resource: all products return to the cycle of manufacture, consumption and renewal at the end of their functional lifetime. The system uses natural resources efficiently and responsibly, and protects ecosystems through the use of renewable forms of energy. At end-of-life, climatex products are returned to their cycles as biological nutrients and synthetic fibres, through the development of cyclical metabolisms that allow for natural production methods and constant reuse. Materials that can be categorised as ‘biological nutrients’—those suitable for biogas harvesting or composting—are used exclusively. Only safe chemicals are used, and the proportion of polymers in the fabric allows for complete decomposition into basic chemical components, facilitating easy reuse in other products.
