Espoo Story, which sets important circular objectives such as sustainable construction, addresses biodiversity issues in a context of growing urbanisation and provides sustainable consumption choices for citizens. A 4 year programme called Sustainable Espoo has been set up involving both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the implementation of the sustainability objectives set in the city strategy. The city is also developing a proper Circular Economy Roadmap that will be closely connected to its carbon neutrality 2030 roadmap.
