Tagaddod is a renewable energy and waste management start-up, which was founded in 2013. It focuses on clean fuels, producing biodiesel from Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) and cooking oil that are collected from horeca and households.

With the fluctuating supply of diesel, the inefficient power and electricity infrastructure in the country, and the alerting levels of pollution, there is a need for alternative sources of energy in the Egyptian Market. Tagaddod responds to this need by offering a clean and sustainable solution, while addressing the lack of waste management in Egypt.

Their Green Pan service uses online technology to schedule clean, simple and sustainable collection of used cooking oils for households and businesses while providing the right financial return. Customers can access free products in return for providing their used cooking oil.
