WildTrust supports ecosystem conservation and runs a programme that uses eco-friendly solutions to improve livelihoods. The organisation has launched water- and waste-recycling initiatives to reduce plastic pollution in the marine environment. WildTrust has also established a social enterprise, WILDENTERPRISE, to advance green economy-based, economic development opportunities in disadvantaged local communities.
This case study has been created as part of Footprints Africa's work to build a comprehensive open-source database of circular economy initiatives in Africa. We are doing this in collaboration with the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN), as part of our programme to support the circular economy transition in Africa.
