A governance committee was set up in 2015 to promote methodologies for circular practices. The City of Paris’ Environmental Department is in charge of overall coordination to drive the circular economy strategy. 16 departments (out of the 20 city departments) are carrying out actions from the roadmap specifically connected to their skills, and all departments are involved as partners. Many additional players include: government authorities, business, associations, NGOs, academia and research support to define and lead the actions. Following many circular economy stakeholder meetings, the Paris Circular Economy Strategy was launched in 2017 and 30 concrete actions are now being implemented.
